First , I would like to thank you some of you who donate me a can of beer. It pretty help me to motivate myself to keep on writing article on FF14 and other gaming online. Thanks alots!
For once,I really love fishing in Final Fantasy 14 ARR. I never imaging that there is such activities after Lineage2. Furthermore, this is most profitable side-job that SquareEnix can offer. You do not need any crystal or raw material or lots gils to start with. This job also offer you the faster side job to lvl 50 in just matter of 30- 50 hour game play. Maybe less. It really a good start to fresh new comer how just join FF14 ARR and have no friends to start with. and more It is less tedious and much more interesting. You can even spend a good time with family watching TV, Movie while letting your controller vibrate as notification for you.
If you get drunk or high, this fishing is the best as you will sit there and fish while enjoying some music from your PC/PS3 or any devices. I usually spend 5-6 hour per week on fishing. I start this job late too as I was into leadership and blacksmith and yet FISHING job level 50 before others.
Please do comment/suggestion to improve this blog for better reference in future! Of course fund raise or can of beer is much appreciated
Here some great tips from me to you all and HOPE it will guide you well:
1) Fishing based on:
- Gathering Affects your rate of landing a
catch. If you find yourself failing to reel in fish and are of adequate
level for your location you should consider upgrading your equipment.
Perception Affects your HQ catch rate. This is just as important for leveling up. You gain an additional 300% XP on top of the base XP earned.
*Say GP is useless as Fisher but consider fishing near Mining or Harvesting points to use your accumulated GP by increasing Gathering Yield. Why not grab some shards while out in the field!? You not losing anything on it.
2) Condition
Fishing is affected by:
- Weather
- Time of day
- Moon Phase, time etc
Sunny day at Costa.

- Moon Phase, time etc
3) Gain More Experince
I used Jack-o'-lantern most of the time.to keep a constant 3% Exp boost and +6 Perception.
Additional EXP boost from Leve and while you are rest at Inn also help you a lots.
4) The Skill of Actions.
