FINAL FANTASY 14 ARR ( IFRIT HM FULL GUIDE)

Explanation:

- Seriously saying that Ifrit and Shiva is my favorite guardian of all time. Writing how to beat them up is really ache in my heart. Anyway... I shall get on with it. The fight is very easy compare to Garuda and Titan. This fight exact the same fight as level 20 except you will have a full party (8 man) instead of a light party (4 man).

Lord of Inferno

Step 1: PREPARATION

It is advisable to get average party with normal equipment fighting. ( A few equipment from Amdapor Keep and lvl 50 weapon should hold against it)

Duration of fight: 8 minutes to 12 minutes or less
-Before start the fight, do what you need to do first cause this fight you do not have a pause where you can take a break after that.

Recommended:  Tanks x2 ,Healers x2  DPSx2, Bard x1, BLMx1
Success rate: 97%. 3% failed is highly due party is not co-operating each others.

Tips:

-One Tanker should always at 12 clock tanking while other at 3 o'clock stunning ( shield bash) when there is eruptions.

- BLM is very important in this fight as their LB ( meteor) will be use for  Nails.

Step 2 : PHASE and POSITIONS.

Ifrit  HM only consists 3 phase:

Phase 1 : Game start. Keep tanker at 12 o'clock up. DPS on behind Ifrit's legs. After awhile it will cast fire breath, a knockback ( 20 step behind)  followed by Eruption. Soon, it will cast the first Rush ability ( Ifrit alone then with clones x1) . This is keep continue till nails is appear. In here your LB should be 2-3 full or your never make it.

Ifrit cast Fire Breath.
Phase 2: 4 x Infernal  Nails will spawn ( 3 on west, east , south corner while 1 at north  corner and it usually blocked by Ifrit's tail.)  BLM/SMN have a major task here as they will cast Meteor ( Limit Break) on these nails. while DpS and rest can help wipe out the rest of remaining nail's health.

BIG QUESTION( S) : What if our party do not have BLM/SMN??Can we wipe the nails too?
Answers : Yes, you can wipe out but you may need a good weapon before process. From my experience, DPS ( dragoon)  could wipe at least 2 Nails before Ifrit cast HellFire. So, planing timing is important here.

Before Ifrit's cast HellFire, Healer should cast AOE Heal in group. That save lots of MaNa for next fight later.

Hell Fire.

Phase 3 : Eruptions now have  ability to instant kill player(s). Avoid Plumes too as it deals 1700- 2400 HP damage.
****Memorize the plumes here: WALL->MIDDLE->EVERYWHERE.

This fight is repeating itself so usually DPS will cast LIMIT BREAK LVL 1 to end the fights.
1) Wall Plumes.

3) Anywhere Plumes.
2) Middle Plumes.

Step 3: Ifrit's  Skill

1) Vulcan Buster
Very large AoE centered on Ifrit - low damage and huge knockback ( 20-25 step behind). No warning sign.

2) Incinerate
Core fire breath attack. Should only hitting Tank ( main) unless some hero dumb try to taste that hit.

3) Eruption
Heavy  AoE damage like volcano eruptions. Ability target area warning by large areas of glowing cracked earth which are centered glowing directly. As the fight proceeds, eruptions became more and more damaging and instantly. Avoid at all cost. In phase 3 it instantly killing anyone on top of them. Be careful!!

4) ****Radiant Plume
Heavy  AoE damage alike Weight of Land ( Refer Titan's skill Titan's skill ) , used when Ifrit HP below 75%. Ability target area warning by swirling lava circles on the ground. Three patterns:
-Outer Ring (Wall Plumes)
-Inner Area (Middle Plumes)
-Full Arena (Everywhere)

5) Crimson Cyclone
Ifrit charges rapidly forward straight across the arena, dealing severe damage to party in path. On phases, it will adds clones of Ifrit in this attack (two Ifrits below 75% HP, then three Ifrits in the final phase), each charging forward from its position starting with the Ifrit on the left with about one second between charges.

Crimson Cyclone usually go straight line.

6) Hellfire
Special ability, used only once. Deals very high AoE damage to entire party depending on the number of Infernal Nails left intact.. If there is a Nails, surviving in this fight will be became 50/50 chance.

LOOTS AND REWARDS:

Each player receives:
10 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
4 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology

The final treasure chest will add one of the nine Ifrit weapons to the pool at random:
Ifrit's Blade

Ifrit's Harpoon

FINAL FANTASY 14 ARR ( GARUDA HM FULL GUIDE)

Explanation:

Most of player might think Garuda is kinda hardcore to conquer. However seriously, it more easy than Titan. All you need to do is look at your party and stay alive.I will do my best to try and explain it for you.So far, I never Koed by Garuda unless some party member is messing up entire team. This fight is gonna take short time ( depends how well you equipment is). Yup, she sexy too .

Step 1: PREPARATION

It is advisable to get good party with good equipment fighting in Garuda Hard Mode. ( Minimum 60 lvl )

Tips:

  1. You don't have to stand directly behind the rock all the time.
  2.  maintaining rocksall the time  after she does her teleport->you should jump out from Rock after that quickly. Reason: Prevent her skill further damage the rock.
  3.  More rocks = less damage taken during RECKONING.
  4. -Slipstream IS AVOIDABLE. It isn't interruption but if you run right through her before she finishes casting you wont be given damage.

Duration of fight: 8 minutes to 14 minutes or less
-Before start the fight, do what you need to do first cause this fight you do not have a pause where you can take a break after that.

Recommended:  Tanks x2 ,Healers x2  DPSx4
Success rate: 89% with Level 60 Equipment , 57.4% with Level 50 Equipment

Showing the jobs in category.

Step 2 : PHASE

Garuda HM only consists 3 phase:

Phase 1: In this phase, Rock/Pillar  statue is very important  and without it, Garuda could wipe the entire party with her Ulitmate Attack ( Reckoning )

Keep this stone available at all cost.

Phase 2 :  Once Garuda slices your party  into transition, the tank needs to immediately pull Garuda to the WEST side of the map, corner and tank as usual.

Green circles that will spawn tornadoes will appear around the arena. If you get hit by these it does a very large amount of damage, usually pull you away from party. This could possibly push you into another tornado, causing a chain and killing you pretty much instantly.

After 1- 2 minute, 'bodyguards' Garuda will spawn in this phase, one will have a red line being channeled to it, and another will have a green line. That mean 2 adds!  My advise is kill the Chidara ( Green line) first cause it heals Garuda and will increase time to her down. LB usually needed here to prevent Garuda's HP from increase here. While Suparna ( Red line ) on second as she will increase Garuda attack and might wipe out some of your party member.

Phase 2

Phase 3 : Like in the normal fight  the outside of the arena will now be covered by wave of wind, while the inside is where you’ll be fighting Garuda. Her adds will spawn here again. So, follow the phase 2 on Chidara first and Suparna. Healer have good time here as they cast AOE heals with help of bard ( if any)

Phase 3

Step 3: Garuda's  Skill

There are 6 skill use by Garuda in the battle:

1) Slipstream/ DownStream
Slide wind attack (used frequently); used by Garuda, Chirada, and Suparna. Damages and briefly stuns all targets in AoE. Avoidable (move to the side/behind during ability readying).

2) Downdraft
Moderate conal damage (instant, unavoidable)

3) Wicked Wheel
Moderate AoE damage, centered on Garuda (instant, unavoidable)

4) Friction
Moderate AoE damage, centered on one random target and damage the Pillar/Rock (instant, unavoidable)

5) Mistral Song/Mistral Shriek
Only used during phase one (but can be used by Chirada/Suparna in phase two if left alive for too long). Garuda disappears, then reappears at another position on the battlefield (first north, then center, then east). After several seconds, she generates a powerful burst of wind which damages anyone who is not standing behind a rock pillar so that it breaks the line of sight to Garuda’s position (either radially outward from the center, or in one direction across the arena).

6) Aerial Blast/ The Reckoning
Special ability, used only once. Deals very high AoE damage to everyone depending on the number of rocks remaining when utilized. Essentially impossible to survive if fewer than three rocks are remaining, ideally six or more remaining to make it relatively easy to survive.

STEP 4: POSITION

The position is same as Garuda's story mode.

1) At the start of the fight have all your range dps and healer stack next to the far right side of pillar (North East). Tanker will tank her at where she is. (facing away). Party move behind the pillar next to the stacking position. Right after each slipstream, she will shortly cast thousand feathers and you have to kill adds fast before they destroy pillar stacks.

2) The second teleport will be at the center and she will cast mistral song

3) The third teleport will be at the east of the map.

4) The fourth teleport will be at the center of the map

5)  5th teleport it will case Arial Blast aka The Reckoning (this does not effect where you stand you can still stand next to boss and take 1600-2500 damage)  Take note that if all pillar was destroyed, change to survive is near 0.

At phase two- I already mention that you need to kill Chidara first before Suparna ( best using 2-3 DPS to kill them). After killed them both, move toward around the clock as she will summon flumes wind blow while using wicked wheel. So just slightly pull the boss as you go while having dps take care of flumes. Avoid the flumes if needed to as it will disappear after your party move to center.

At phase three she will use eye of the storm. (exactly same as in story mode) Becareful about her downstream while in the eye of the storm. She will also summon Chidara and Suparna once again into the fight.

Phase two and Three repeating  until she is dead or your party is wipe out.

LOOTS AND REWARDS:

Each player receives:
15 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
7 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology

The final treasure chest will add one of the nine Garuda weapons to the pool at random:
Garuda's Gaze
Garuda's Scream
Garuda's Talons
Garuda's Beak
Garuda's Spine
Garuda's Wile
Garuda's Van
Garuda's Will
Garuda's Embrace

  • HP need to be 3200 above ( If someone get lower than this, probably you wouldn't get a good  party, and I suggest you leave your party)

- At last 1 Bard and 1 Monk in group:
Reason: Bard - Constantly damage and MP generating
             Monk- Mantra

Recommended requirement:

  • full Dark Light's gear

Sample of Dark Light's gear

  • Level 70 weapons like Garuda's weapon.

Enlarge for more details on Garuda's weapon

Step 2 : POSITION

Titan HM divided into 5 phrase which I will tell later more details on Titan's skill  but most important point is how you gonna survive for  next phase.

Phase 1
- Usually all will gather together so healer able to cast AOE heal to all party.

Phase 2
-same as phase 1 but need to avoid Weight of Land ( WoL) aka Plumes ( from Ifrit)

Phase 3
- Start to separate randomly and keep eyes on WoL and Stone's Bomb.

Phase 4
- like ant style: You gather together so healer can cast AOE heal and move away before WoL appear.

Phase 5
-same as phase.

Here is the Diagram use for Phase 4-5 .
Red far from Titan are usually Bard.

Step 3: Titan's  Skill

**Please do memorize the skills as Titan cast it constantly  in every phase.I share with you where do you position your character in every phase.

Skill details description:
There are 6 skills which Titan will use it in battle:

1) Weight of the Land:
Aka plumes due to the Ifrit . This skill create circles randomly on the ground, the best way to avoid it is to start moving randomly as soon as you know it's will happen ( Reason I advise to memorize) . Getting hit by one does between 1800-2400 damage in phase 2 but constantly hit can cause you KO instantly. In Phase 4 and 5, even it easy to avoid  but getting hit by it make you KO in blink.

2) Landslide:
Power wave straight line that make you slide over 20 steps. In phase 3-5 it will knock you off the land due land is getting smaller after each phase.

3) Tumult:
Aka Titan's Stomp. A wide AOE that deal damage between 650- 950 damage per hits. It will continue  progresses to 5-8 additional hits in phase 4 and 5 . Healers have a big responsible to keep all party alive while bard start to give MP song to healer. ( People with low HP than 3400 will not survive this phase, I ensure you)

4) Stone Bombs:
Otherwise known as time -bombs ( 4-7 seconds before it exploded). *Always look for the last bomb to drop. There are three cycle of the bombs as follows:

i) Middle- usually appear in Phase 3 , where last drop at middle
ii) Corner - 4 bomb drop at middle, so advise to go to corner. It appears in phase 3 after middle
iii) Random-  Always look for last bomb drop.

Tips: if you do not know where to go, follow the others who have experience on this like me =)

5) Gaol:
Referred as stone lock.during. In Phase 3, it is safe to break the rock immediately after someone get lock by stone. From phase 4 and 5, Titan will always cast Goal  followed by a landslide. so wait and see where the Landslide pointing to otherwise you might end up fall down without wings. ( Bear in mind, if you Ko in Phase4 and 5, healer might not able to raise you soon). In heart mode, do not waste time breaking someone on Goal if he get locked up during second time, focus on breaking the heart otherwise entire party will be wipe out.
6) Mountain Buster:
The pain in the ass for tanker.A massive stone frontal attack that deals almost 4k damage on tanker alone. if you got hit by it other than tank, you need to practice more. It seldom hit other party other than tank itself. In this fight, 2 healer is needed to cast HP to tanker ASAP, while other healer cast AOE to other party.

For real, this Titan HM is really a hardcore primal and most player are desperate on this.I do recommended all to give a try countless time even you already gain your artifact relic. So far before this was written by me, I have tried 65 times with 64 failed  and only 1 win before I get my strategy on it.

**Do not have high hope on this, Just tell yourself it only practicing and training. Please do not throw away your PS3 controller TOO or break your keyboard!!!

Any comment are welcome and I will telling you next on Garuda fight is for me was most easy way to kill it on next blog.
